They have many different names, but they all mean the same thing: ADDITIONAL PROFIT TO THE DEALER.
The vast majority of car dealers in Florida have these "fees" pre-printed on their purchase orders.
Often the customer in not aware they have paid this "fee". Dealers disguise this charge by making it appear to be an official fee, like something the state would charge. They do include a small disclaimer that mentions that some of it may represent profit to the dealer - but this is far from obvious.
